Ratchet Privacy Policy

Ratchet is offered by Deep Blue Dodo LLC.

Policy version: October 20, 2026

Your library stays on your iPhone

Practices, schedules, settings, timer history, Space runs and recovery actions, optional feelings and notes, and selected photos are stored locally. Ratchet does not require an account or send your library to the developer. It does not include advertising, tracking or a third-party analytics service.

Photos

Apple’s photo picker shares only the image you select. Ratchet makes a smaller, correctly oriented copy without the original photo metadata and stores that copy locally. Selecting a photo does not give Ratchet access to your entire photo library.

Backups and sharing

Exported library files include your records and selected photos. You choose where to save or share them. Shared practice-configuration links exclude personal photos, session history, feelings and notes. A destination you choose, including a cloud file provider, handles the copy under its own privacy practices.

Ratchet has no built-in cloud sync. Your device’s backup settings may include app data in backups managed by Apple. Removing data or a photo in Ratchet does not remove copies in previously exported files or device backups.

Notifications and Live Activities

Optional reminders and completion alerts are scheduled through iOS. Live Activities can display a practice name and timer on your Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. You control notification and Lock Screen visibility in iPhone Settings.

Retention and removal

Local records remain in the app’s storage. Archiving a practice or Space keeps its history. Removing the app removes its local storage, subject to device backups that may restore it. Manage exported files and backups separately; keep a backup before changing devices or removing the app.

Apple and support

Apple handles App Store purchases and may provide diagnostics or analytics according to your Apple settings and choices. Ratchet adds no separate purchase tracking or crash-reporting service.

If you contact support, the developer receives the message and details you choose to send and uses them to respond. Do not include your full library, private notes or photos unless needed to explain the issue. You can ask support to delete your correspondence, subject to applicable record-keeping requirements.

No connected AI service

Personal image generation is not connected. Your photos, feelings and notes are not sent to an image-generation provider.

Policy changes

If a future version changes these practices, its policy and App Store privacy information will be updated before the changed feature is released.
